Synopsis

Mary Zimmerman's mesmerizing play about the power of love to transform recently celebrated its 300th performance. This unique mix of dance, music, comedy, and tragedy breathes new life into the legend of King Midas and the tales of Cupid, Psyche, Aphrodite, and Orpheus. Based on the epic works of Ovid, Metamorphoses converts the Circle in the Square into a 27-foot-wide pool of water and beautifully channels the stories of gods and goddesses into a breathtaking evening.

Rush tickets, limit 2 per person, are available for $35 on the day of the performance at the box office when it opens. Customers may get wet; towels are provided.

Running Time: 90 minutes
(no intermission)
May be inappropriate for 10 and under.
For the length of one dimly lit scene a character is nude.
Children under 4 are not permitted into the theatre.
