Synopsis
Comedy! Music! Bondage! J. T. Burian Theatricals present Irish Authors Held Hostage, by John Morogiello. The play returns to Washington after a sucessful production at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2004 and winning Outstanding Production at the Washington Theatre Festival in 2003.
Irish Authors Held Hostage presents a series of comic variations on a theme wherein famous Irish authors such as Synge, Wilde, Shaw, Joyce, O'Casey, Beckett and Behan are held captive by a variety of international terrorists. Interludes of traditional Irish music between kidnappings enhance this original and intelligent comedy.
There is a special Spy Wednesday Performance on Wednesday April 12 at 7:30pm.
