Synopsis

She descends on Hell's Kitchen with a retinue of angels and pimps, bestowing the gift of sacred sabotage. SQ reclaims Friday night with sex, soul and style, featuring a cast of Radical Semites, Semi-Semites and Secret Agents in Her Majesty's service. 400 years ago a handful of inspired mystics invented a weekly ritual welcoming The Sabbath Queen, an elusive, mythical figure in the Judeo-Pagan pantheon, representing the feminine divine and the essence of sacred time. SQ is a radical adaptation of this traditional rite of passage, reviving its lost ecstatic elements of seduction and trance with a very un-traditional, interactive, multi-media drag-rock show, followed by a dance party moving to house, hip hop and hymns.
