Read what our TM Insiders had to say about One for the Road by Harold Pinter!
One for the Road is stunning. It grabs your heart and mind and does not let go for thirty minutes. The actors are superb; the make-up, costumes, props and set add to the excellence of the performances; and the production is exquisite. Bravo.
Compelling theatre! Not for the faint of heart, but first rate acting and directing. This is theatre that has a social message that is timely. The performance will live in your mind for weeks!
I enjoy artists that operate at the edge of their craft. These actors do so. Most of the lines come from only one of the three --- an intriguing proposition in itself. A bowsprit flood of self-righteous certainties ballasted by the bound near silence of his brutalized victims. 30 minutes --- every one dynamic --- a stage, stripped minimal. Bush: get your ass across town and see this. Or, if thats too optimistic, I reccommend it to all.
Start off the new year with some choice theater offerings, including The Seafarer, Irving Berlin's I Love a Piano, The Little Dog Laughed, Am I Black Enough Yet?, The Cherry Orchard, Dai (Enough), and Zomo the Rabbit: A Hip Hop Creation Myth.
