Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace's productions of the hit musicals Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and Meet Me in St. Louis will be presented at Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place, this fall/winter. Both productions had sold-out runs during the 2007-2008 season at Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace.

Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is a rock 'n' roll journey through the life of the legendary singer/songwriter Buddy Holly, who shot to stardom in 1957, only to be tragically killed in a plane crash two years later on the day legend says "the music died." It features a score full of over twenty classic toe-tapping tunes from Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens including "Peggy Sue," "That'll Be the Day," "La Bamba" and "Chantilly Lace".The production will play September 10-November 2, with an opening September 19.

The production will be followed by Meet Me in St. Louis, set at the turn of the century as the Smith family anticipates the coming of the World's Fair, as well as a number of changes within the family. The score includes the beloved songs "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Boy Next Door," and "The Trolley Song." It will run November 12-January 4, opening November 19.
