My, Oh Mia!

Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Christine Baranski, Dominic Cooper, Amanda Seyfried, Rita Wilson, Jane Seymour, Kathie Lee Gifford, and Louise Pitre come out for the New York premiere of the film Mamma Mia!

The New York premiere of the film Mamma Mia!, based on the hit Broadway musical, was held on Wednesday night at the Ziegfeld Theater. Here are stars Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried, who play Donna and Sophie Sheridan.

Tony Award winner Christine Baranski, currently on the Great White Way in Boeing-Boeing, plays Donna's much-married pal Tanya.

Film star Pierce Brosnan stars as Sam Carmichael, one of three men who might be Sophie's father.

Colin Firth plays another potential dad, Harry Bright.

Dominic Cooper, last seen on Broadway in The History Boys, plays Sophie's fiancé Sky.

Here's Benny Andersson, one fourth of the Swedish supergroup ABBA, whose music is the basis for the piece.

Rita Wilson, who co-produced the film with hubby Tom Hanks, posed with some of the film's hunky cast members.

Among the invited guests at the premiere was Louise Pitre, who originated the role of Donna on Broadway.

Tina Maddigan, Broadway's original Sophie, was another attendee.

Today show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford and daughter Cassidy showed off their fashion sense.

Another television favorite, Jane Seymour, also looked smashing.

Jason Butler Harner and Julia Murney represented the Broadway contingent.

Fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo cut a striking figure.

Real World: Hollywood cutie Dave Sky was also in attendance.

Finally, here's the wonderful theater and film actress Mamie Gummer, who came out to support her own Mamma, Meryl Streep.

Wow -- Meryl Streep has a beautiful voice. I loved her singing -- acting too --of coures.

I absolutely loved it!! As usual Abba music is so much fun and so happy. Actors were fabulous and I plan to see it again.

I loved it and would give it 5 stars out of 5. Funny, beautiful scenery and great music mostly.
