 | | Lamplighters Musical Theatre's Mikado | The performance line-up has been announced for the fifth annual San Francisco Theater Festival, a one-day free event featuring 100 shows on 14 stages, to be held July 27, indoors and outdoor at Yerba Buena Gardens, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Zeum, and the Metreon. The festival is presented in partnership with the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.
Highlights of the festival will include Lamplighters Musical Theatre's Mikado, a preview of the AfroSolo Festival, Amiri Baraka's new play Sisyphus Syndrome, a gay Cinderella in Oh My Godmother, and Improv Groups such as Blue Blanket, BATS, SPF, and Big City.
Other featured theater companies will include The Marsh, Tell it on Tuesday, 42nd Street Moon, Stagebridge, No Nude Men Productions, Three Wise Monkeys, Uncle Buzzy's Show, The One Act Players, AtmosTheatre, San Francisco Buffoons, Golden Thread Fairytale Players, Galatean Players, SF Recovery Theatre, PUS Theater, Acme Players, APE Theater, Lower Bottom Playaz, Wordslanger, and many others.
