A new production of Peter Morgan's Frost/Nixon will replace the previously announced production of W. Somerset Maugham's The Circle, January 4-February 8, in the Caldwell Theatre Company's 2008-2009 Season. Based on four 90-minute taped segments, the play explores David Frost's televised interviews with Richard Nixon three years after the former president left office.
As previously announced, the season will also include She Loves Me, November 9-December 14, the Joe Masteroff-Sheldon Hamick-Jerry Bock musical comedy which tells the story of two lovesick, anonymous pen pals who work together during the day, totally unaware that they are writing to each other at night.
Next up will be Michael McKeever's Dangerous, February 22-March 29, a deconstructed restaging of Les Liaisons Dangereuses in the underworld of 1930s Weimar, Germany. The season will close with Something's Afoot, April 12-May 17, a murder mystery musical written by James McDonald, David Vos, and Robert Gerlach with additional music by Ed Linderman
