James Asmus' Calls to Blood to Transfer to Larger Royal George Theater

By: Andy Propst · Oct 27, 2009  · Chicago

James Asmus' Calls to Blood is transferring mid-run at the Royal George Theatre, according to a report in Time Out Chicago. The New Colony production opened in the 50-seat upstairs Gallery at Royal George, and as of October 29, will be playing in the theater's 180-seat cabaret space through November 7. Andrew Hobgood directs.

Based on a true story, Calls to Blood tells the story of a seemingly happy couple's struggle to conceive a child. The production features Gary Tiedemann, Sara Gitenstein, Evan Linder, and Mary Hollis Inboden.

The creative team includes Matt Packer (scenic and lighting design), Shelby Wilson (costume design), and Stephanie Sherline (original music and sound design).
